Cookies and localStorage

Cookies and localStorage are different browser storage mechanisms. A cookie may be transmitted to a server with requests. The localStorage used here remains on your device and is read by the website code to apply your choice.

What the current version stores

Name: epos-consent-v1. Provider: EPOS Electro / ActivePhones. Mechanism: first-party localStorage. Purpose: remembering choices and their expiry time. Choice validity: 180 days from saving. The expired record is removed on your next visit, or earlier if you clear browser data. Category: consent choice storage.

It contains no contact message, bank account details or card number. If browser storage is unavailable, you can still read the guides and may need to choose again on a later visit.

Choice categories

The choice panel separates essential operation from optional categories. These descriptions reflect the current installation.

• Essential operation: serving pages and managing your choice. It does not load advertising tags.
• Preferences: your choices can be saved locally. The application uses no additional personalisation cookies.
• Analytics: not installed in the current version.
• Advertising: not installed in the current version.

Accept, reject and change

You can accept all, reject non-essential categories or manage choices. Guides remain available when you reject optional categories. In this version, no choice loads a tool that has not been installed.

Open cookie management in the footer to change your selection. You may also clear website data in your browser settings. After expiry or deletion, the choice panel may appear again.

Hosting and third-party websites

Hosting infrastructure may use its own security mechanisms; the final deployment needs checking to keep this list accurate. External websites you choose to open have their own policies. EPOS Electro does not install their cookies on their behalf.

Before new tools are added

Activating analytics, Google Ads or remarketing requires updating this policy and choice management beforehand, then testing their actual behaviour. This policy does not claim that Consent Mode or a Google service is already enabled.
